Description:
Sylvia Pankhurst Come along and witness SYLVIA - The one woman show by Jacqueline Mulhallen about suffragette and artist Sylvia Pankhurst who painted the portrait of Alice Hawkins in the Leicester Museum. She painted many other shoe workers in Leicester in 1907 and her paintings are included in the 250 historical slides which form a background to a play described as 'Fabulous ‚Äď a perfect combination of words and pictures.' Sylvia Pankhurst was among those vilified for opposing WW1, and campaigned for peace throughout her life.
