19:00 [19:30] Lyndsey Young: The Friendly Bench + local concerns (ext event)
From: Friends Of Clarendon Park / Friends Of Victoria Park The next joint FCP & FVP members meeting, which runs from 7:30pm to 9:30pm on Thursday 13th February 2020 in the Small Meeting Room at the Quaker Meeting House on Queens Road: We're looking forward to welcoming our guest speaker, Lyndsey Young, who will be talking about 'The Friendly Bench' and how it can help to reconnect people back into their community. Police Sergeant Ben Widdowson has been identified as the Community Bronze Commander for Live Nation's Solstice II event on Victoria Park on Saturday 20th June. Ben will be attending this meeting to listen to the concerns of the community and will be coming to our next meeting on Thursday 18th June to outline the measures being put in place for the event. We'll also be looking at Leicester City Council's proposals for a Clarendon Park West 20mph zone - if you live in the part of Clarendon Park bounded by Queens Road, Victoria Park Road, Welford Road and Clarendon Park Road, you should have received a consultation pack last weekend. In the rest of the meeting, committee members will be reporting on recent FCP activities and providing updates on local issues, including: the cycle paths on Victoria Park the planning application to replace the Antiques Warehouse at 186 Welford Road with student flats We'll be circulating the agenda early next week, but if there are items you'd like to see included please email your suggestions to admin @ClarryPark .org As usual, non-members are welcome to attend and will be offered the opportunity to join at the meeting. "We look forward to seeing you there."
