ZOOM TALK - Ariadne Tampion RAIL ISSUES IN THE EAST MIDLANDS The East Midlands is a region crucial for national rail connectivity, being located in the middle of the country. Unfortunately its rail network has suffered from chronic underinvestment in recent decades. In her talk, Ariadne Tampion will give a round-up of the improvements needed to make the region's, and consequently the country's, railways fit for the twenty-first century, with an emphasis on how these would affect Leicester. Ariadne is Chair of East Midlands Branch of national pro-rail campaigning organisation Railfuture ( https://www.railfuture.org.uk/East+Midlands+Branch ), and a longstanding member of Leicester Secular Society. You are welcome to participate for free, but will need the joining information in our weekly email. Sign up at http://leicestersecularsociety.org.uk/register/?p=subscribe&id=1 Or email contact@Lsec.org.uk for login details.
