University of Leicester Lunchtime Lectures The Lunchtime Lecture series gives Researchers across the University of Leicester the opportunity to present their research to a public audience at the Leicester Adult Education College. Programme: https://www2.le.ac.uk/departments/doctoralcollege/current/lunchtime-lectures Attending a Lecture: All these Lunchtime Lectures are on Fridays during the College's academic term time and are free and open to the public, with no need to book in advance. The lectures last approximately 20 minutes, starting at 12:30. Several buses stop nearby on Pocklingtons Walk, Welford Place, Rutland Street and Charles Street.

Research and the COVID-19 crisis: Online speed lectures and panel discussion for World Environment Day A new series of online speed lectures with leading DMU scholars marking mark National Awareness Days. The lectures will reflect on how research can help communities deal with the COVID-19 crisis. 5 June marks World Environment Day and the event will focus on COVID-19 and the environment. Programme: - Cities before and after COVID-19- Issues and challenges (Dr Alona Martinez Perez) - Plastic pollution due to COVID-19: Challenges and opportunities (Dr Karthikeyan Kandan).
