Description:
ZOOM TALK The Gunpowder Treason – Terrorist Plot or Government Conspiracy? With Gareth Howell. Remember, Remember the 5th of November, Gunpowder, Treason and Plot. I can think of no rhyme and no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot… The talk takes the audience through the plot, but examines the evidence and asks the question, "was the government complicit in the plot for reasons of its own?" Gareth spent many years teaching in a Nottingham Secondary School. He regularly appears on BBC Radio Nottingham as an historical adviser, and has spoken on BBC Notts on a variety of topics. You are welcome to participate for free, but will need the joining information in our weekly email.
