ZOOM TALK with Sally Ruane: Reorganisation of maternity and acute hospital services in Leicester - are we building better hospitals for the future? A formal public consultation is currently underway in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland on the future of hospital services. Sally's talk will offer background information and summarise the proposals for change in the £450m capital scheme, in which maternity and acute hospital services will be re-organised and the Leicester General Hospital closed as an acute hopsital. She will then explore various aspects of the proposals which give cause for concern or where more information is required if the public are to be able to assess their adequacy. Dr Sally Ruane is a Reader in Health Policy at De Montfort University and an NHS campaigner. You are welcome to participate for free, but will need the joining information in our weekly email. Sign up at http://leicestersecularsociety.org.uk/register/?p=subscribe&id=1 Or email contact@Lsec.org.uk for login details.
