"There is nothing new about cancel culture - or, why secularist history is so important and why it is so little known and understood." With Bob Forder. In this talk National Secular Society historian Bob Forder describes some of the factors that have led to a poor understanding and appreciation of a secularist, freethinking intellectual tradition.  By way of example, he will outline the frequently ignored but central role of secularists in explaining, popularising and promoting birth control and contraceptive techniques as well as other achievements and their relevance today. All welcome - admission free. You are welcome to participate for free, but will need the joining information in our weekly email. Sign up at http://leicestersecularsociety.org.uk/register/?p=subscribe&id=1 Or email contact@Lsec.org.uk for login details.
