Description:
"Astronomy Past and Present" with Mary McIntyre Mary will talk about the history of astronomy, from prehistoric cave paintings to robotic telescopes. She will include stories about people who were pivotal with their contribution to astronomy alongside the changes in theory and science behind the subject. Mary is an Oxfordshire based amateur astronomer and astrophotographer who has had a life-long interest in astronomy. She writes articles, speaks regularly on local radio and her images have appeared in a variety of publications and on TV. She is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society. All welcome - admission free. You are welcome to participate for free, but will need the joining information in our weekly email.
