Notes: The concert begins with the dramatically celebratory "Zadok the Priest". By far the biggest work in the programme is Dvořk's Stabat Mater, and it is one of Dvořk's most deeply felt works. It was Dvořk's reaction to the death of his daughter, Josefa. Local composer David Fisher's "Augsburg Elegy" is a homage to the form of the chorale prelude. Dvořk's Nocturne perhaps sets the scene for the Stabat Mater.
