LSS: Sophie Scott: The Story of Laughter (Darwin Day talk)

Description: Our Darwin Day* lecture.

Professor Sophie Scott - "The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals

OR "THE STORY OF LAUGHTER".

Sophie is Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at University College, London. She specialises in speech, communication, emotions and laughter.

She is also known as a stand-up comic, so this event is definitely not to be missed!!

Free entry. Tea and biscuits provided. Donations towards costs welcome.

* This is our annual dual celebration for Charles Darwin, who was born on 12 February 1809 (so he'd be 210 on Tuesday) and "On the Origin of Species" which was published 160 years ago in 1859. The title of this talk is taken from his 1872 book "The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals".
