LSS: Zina Zelter - Climate action and Leicester's local plan

Description: ZOOM TALK - Zina Zelter

CLIMATE ACTION AND LEICESTER’S LOCAL PLAN

We know we have to tackle climate change urgently – indeed both City and County Councils have made Climate Declarations to this effect. But what are the changes we need to see? And how do they relate to Leicester City Council’s draft Local Plan?

Zina will talk about planning, housing density and transport in a time of climate and other changes – and what we can do as individuals.

Zina is an active member of Climate Action Leicester and Leicestershire (http://www.climateactionleicesterandleicestershire.org.uk/) in their Low Carbon Planning and Housing working group and Transport Action group and has been observing some key council scrutiny meetings.

You are welcome to participate for free, but will need the joining information in our weekly email. Sign up at http://leicestersecularsociety.org.uk/register/?p=subscribe&id=1
