LSS: Marie Lefebvre - To Repair or Not To Repair

Description: ZOOM TALK - Marie Lefebvre

"To Repair or Not To Repair"

The talk is a post-doctorate reflection on repair, design, the circular economy and the factors influencing prosumers (citizens) to repair small electrical items.

The talk also introduces the work being done in Leicester, Leicestershire and beyond to inspire the take-up of repair through events and activism.

Dr Marie Lefebvre completed a doctorate at Loughborough Design School where she investigated the factors influencing prosumers to repair small electrical items. She supports the Leicester Fixers, their Leicestershire Outreach Programme, with her time and skill so that one day each neighbourhood will organise their own repair events, create further social cohesion, economic activity and in turn reduce waste.

You are welcome to participate for free, but will need the joining information in our weekly email. Sign up at http://leicestersecularsociety.org.uk/register/?p=subscribe&id=1
