William Wilber

William Wilber, image from LSS archive

William Wilber was involved with Leicester Secular Society from 1899 to at least 1923. During the period 1899 - 1913 he served as Vice President, except for the one year 1900 when he was President (while Sydney Gimson was presumably engaged on other business).

William Wilber was one of the signatories of the Deeds that established the Leicester Rationalist Trust in 1907, and there his address is given as 82 Laurel Rd, Leicester and his profession as Carpenter. He remained a trustee until at least 1923. Regrettably that is the extent of our records.
